Insight Global Software Engineer (Front-End) in Bedminster, New Jersey

Job Description

An enterprise telecommunications client is seeking a Junior-Mid Level Software Engineer to join their innovation R&D team. This candidate will be supporting a high level initiative for the RAN group that will lead to stronger radio signals on devices. The ideal candidate will be well versed in multiple software engineering languages with an emphasis on C++ GPU based product engineering, computation, and search/graph algorithms. They will be manipulating a large code base and geospatial algorithms mostly in C++ and optimizing these models using python (pandas/geopandas). He/She/They must be comfortable with a live coding interview in order to test their skills.

Skills and Requirements

  • 1-2 years of experience with Front End Development - REACT, WebGL, strong 3D computational geometrical background

  • Python and C++ development experience

  • Python data processing and pipelining experience

  • Data processing with parallelization

  • Experience with graph and search algorithms

  • 4 year University Degree in Computer Science or relevant field

Other Must Haves:

  • 5+ years of embedded C/C++ development

  • 1+ years of embedded CUDA development

  • 1+ years of AI/ML development, including training and debugging Conv-Nets, Transformers, RL

  • Deep knowledge of statistical modeling and inference

  • Expertise in geospatial modeling and development

  • Expertise in 3D modeling and computer graphics concepts (e.g. mesh generation, ray tracing)

  • Data management skills, including working with databases like Postgres and ETL pipelining

  • In-depth knowledge of radio propagation and wireless networking, including state-of-the-art wireless-networking technologies (e.g. 5G, MIMO) -- a plus

  • Strong computer science background, including in the areas of algorithms, distributed OS, VCM, Web GL development

  • High presentation skills

  • Excellent team-work skills - Geopandas

  • PHd or Master's Degree

  • Geospatial experience (Raster, Vector data, elevation, latitude, longitude)

  • Deep knowledge of statistical modeling, computational algorithms, and research based projects null
