ManTech Executive Director, Army Business Development in Belcamp, Maryland

Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, ARMY BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT to join our team on a primarily remote basis, including some travel to Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD.

Delivering solutions in support of US Army Warfighters is ManTech’s first priority.

ManTech is seeking a seasoned business development professional who has knowledge and experience working with and supporting Army customers including but not limited to: HQDA, ASA(ALT), ARCYBER, NETCOM, PEO IEW&S, PEO C3T, PEO EIS, and CCDC . This position will directly support the ManTech Army Division Vice President and team to provide strategic direction and leadership; develop comprehensive and compelling solutions; support qualification of new business opportunities; develop creative and innovative capture strategies; and assist in the preparation of winning proposals for our government clients. The ideal candidate must know how to develop, deliver, and mature a viable pipeline with minimal guidance and coaching.

A vast knowledge of market trends, full understanding of technical direction from ManTech’s customers, and communicating the company’s value proposition is essential in this position, as is translating customer intelligence into actionable solutions. The ideal candidate must be able to leverage a deep mission understanding of customers’ needs and objectives in the areas of Enterprise IT; Network Operations & Maintenance; Information Technology Infrastructure; Advanced Technology; as well as Engineering, Professional, and Training Solutions.

The position will include oversight of customer contact and positioning, teaming interactions, and coordination with other internal business development and sales resources available across ManTech. Experience with customer relationship management and opportunity tracking, as well as experience with a variety of contract types including cost plus fixed fee, firm fixed price, award fee, and performance based contracting is key. Familiarity with (but not limited to) major Army, FEDSIM, DTIC IAC MAC, and DISA contract vehicles is essential.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Provide market analysis, strategic business planning, and capture strategy/solution development, leading to award of major programs.

  • Conduct oversight of customer contact and positioning; teaming interactions; and

  • Coordinate with internal business development, solution architects, capture managers, and other sales resources available across the ManTech enterprise.

  • Provide customer relationship management and opportunity tracking as well as experience with a variety of contract types including cost plus fixed fee, fixed price, award fee, and performance-based contracting are key.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 10 years of related experience.

  • Prior sales and/or program experience with Army customers required.

  • Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered, particularly with military and/or government service.

  • Knowledge of business development best practices, processes, and techniques, coupled with the ability to come up to speed quickly with ManTech procedures.

  • The candidate must be an organized, assertive, and highly skilled professional who has thrived in the highly competitive IT and professional defense marketplace.

  • A team player that can assimilate quickly with the ManTech team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven success in Army C5ISR and Enterprise IT markets.

  • Ability and desire to seek opportunity in non-traditional spaces, e.g. Army Reserve, Army National Guard, FMS. Ideal candidate should demonstrate strong imagination and will to explore possibilities.

  • C5ISR, Cyber, and IT technical expertise, with a strong emphasis on Zero Trust.

  • Active TS/SCI preferred.

Clearance Requirements:

  • Active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in stationary position for up to 50% of the time.

  • Must be able to deliver clear and effective communication both verbally and non-verbally to deliver updates; briefings; or interface with co-workers; leadership as well as customer.

  • Must be able to work in an office environment and be able to freely move within this space to utilize office equipment as well as interface with co-workers and customers.

  • Must be able to effectively use IT peripherals such as laptop, desktop, printer, fax machine, etc.

The projected compensation range for this position is $154,900-$257,800. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
