Robert Half is partnering with a great company on the Westbank that is searching for a Project Accountant to join their team! This is a wonderful opportunity for an accounting professional with 3-8 years of experience to join a well-tenured team. This full-time, permanent roles offers remote flexibility when needed, growth potential, and work/life balance.

Requirements

Responsibilities:

• Ensure Projects are setup in ERP based on customer PO and adjust for any change orders

• Review open jobs with Project Managers and Invoice Projects based on billing milestones defined in customer contracts

• Review Project Performance based on actual costs incurred in comparison to budget to ensure appropriate percentage of completion is recognized

• Partner with Project Management on a weekly basis to ensure project performance reflects project estimates

• Prepare WIP file and revenue recognition accounting entries for month end close in accordance with GAAP

• Prepare WIP entries associated to projects for unbilled and deferred revenue for month end close

• Submit Customer Invoices to Customer portals and verify they are accepted to ensure payment based on customer terms, investigate circumstances of non-payment, negotiating and escalating issues, expediting payments

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accouning

• Over 3 years of accounting experience preferably in the manufacturing or distribution industry

• Proficient in Excel

• Experience working in a company specific ERP
