Development Coordinator

The Permobil Foundation is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Development Coordinator to support our mission of enhancing the quality of life for individuals with mobility challenges. The Development Coordinator will play a crucial role in overseeing fundraising events, managing grant applications, and cultivating relationships with corporate donors. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to impactful initiatives that make a difference in our community for Permobil’s philanthropic arm, a separate 501c3 entity.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Fundraising Events:
Create and execute all components and sponsorship of a new fundraising event that aligns with the foundation’s mission and goals.
Coordinate and execute fundraising events, including logistics, vendor management, volunteer coordination, and post-event evaluations.
Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional materials and strategies for events.
Analyze event outcomes and provide recommendations for future improvements.
Grant Management:
Research and identify potential grant opportunities from foundations and government sources.
Prepare and submit grant proposals, ensuring all deadlines are met and requirements are fulfilled.
Maintain accurate records of grant applications. Working with Associate Executive Director for grant activations: tracking progress and reporting on outcomes.
Corporate Donor Relations:
Build and maintain relationships with corporate partners and potential donors.
Develop and implement strategies to engage corporate donors, including sponsorship opportunities and recognition programs.
Prepare donor communications and impact reports to demonstrate the value of their contributions.
Database Management:
Collaborate with Finance & Program Coordinator on donor and event databases to ensure accurate tracking of contributions and engagement.
Generate reports on fundraising progress and donor activity for internal stakeholders.
Collaboration and Support:
Work closely with the Foundation team and Board of Directors to align fundraising strategies with the foundation’s goals.
Assist in creating a comprehensive fundraising plan, including annual goals and strategies.
Assist with social media activations as it pertains to fundraising initiatives
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree, preferred.
3+ years of experience in nonprofit development, fundraising, or event planning.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organizational and project management abilities. Ability to wear many hats and solve problems in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Knowledge of fundraising techniques and strategies.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines and income goals.
Excellent communication and relationship building skills with an ability to prioritize, negotiate, and work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
Passion for the mission of the Permobil Foundation and a commitment to serving individuals with mobility disabilities.
Hybrid position opportunity
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with grant writing and management.
Familiarity with corporate fundraising and sponsorship development.
Ability to work collaboratively and independently in a fast-paced environment with a remote team.
