The Amazon Worldwide Fulfillment (AWF) Visibility team plays a critical role in supporting Amazon's strategic vision of providing customers worldwide access to a vast product selection at the lowest possible prices. We design and build innovative products and programs focused on enhancing the experience for customers, sellers, and vendors navigating global trade and logistics.

As a Business Intelligence Engineer on our team, you will leverage data and analytics to drive decision-making and power the next generation of AWF solutions. We are seeking candidates who are passionate about using data to solve complex challenges and drive business impact.

Key job responsibilities

  1. Developing and maintaining scalable data pipelines to collect, integrate, and analyze large volumes of operational data from large-scale relational databases (e.g., Amazon Redshift).

  2. Designing and building sophisticated analytical models and dashboards to deliver actionable insights.

  3. Collaborating cross-functionally with product managers and stakeholders to uncover key business problems and translate them into data-driven solutions.

  4. Working closely with Data Engineers to design clean and scalable data sources required for analytics and reporting.

  5. Defining and developing business-critical metrics, reports, and key performance indicators that provide comprehensive visibility into our products/programs and are consumable by a wide range of business functions and decision-makers.

  6. Continuously innovating and automating to improve the efficiency and reliability of our business intelligence capabilities, minimizing ad-hoc customer requests.

About the team

The Amazon Worldwide Fulfillment (AWF) Visibility team is at the forefront of disrupting the way products are bought, sold, and distributed on a global scale. By leveraging cutting-edge data and analytics capabilities, we are empowering our customers, sellers, and vendors to navigate the complexities of international trade and logistics more effectively than ever before.

The Visibility team works closely with logistics cross-border carriers and partners with several key stakeholder teams to constantly improve the international delivery experience. We are a rapidly growing team, both in scope and scale, which is driving ever-increasing data needs to support critical business decisions.

Our team is seeking a highly skilled and motivated BIE to join us in Bellevue. Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience

  • Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools

  • Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines

  • Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS and Matlab

  • Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift

  • Experience in data mining, ETL, etc. and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets

  • A highly collaborative team player with good communication abilities, who can effectively translate complex data insights into actionable business recommendations.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $89,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
