The Construction Office Engineer/Project Controls position is responsible for maintaining all project records, as well as assisting with other administrative and project support tasks as needed by the Resident Engineer and Office Engineer. Work hours will typically follow daytime construction schedules and will be at various project locations and project office types, including construction trailers without plumbing.

What you will be doing (typical duties and responsibilities):

Construction Management

  • Assess, advise, and prepare response to Contractor Submittals
  • Assess, advise, and prepare response to Contractor RFI's

Change Management

  • Lead resolution of field issues
  • Quantify potential contract changes and facilitate and track change orders
  • Assist with preparing Change Orders
  • Conduct impact analysis of cost and schedule changes
  • Forecast quantity/cost to complete

Document Control

Process, print and file all incoming and outgoing project documents and correspondence

Route and track contractor submittals and RFIs for review response

Process and distribute Change Proposals, Design Changes and Change Orders

Maintain project files, material documentation and as-built records

Create/Maintain Record of Mate
