Amazon transportation collectively represents some of the most critical components of Amazon’s first-class transportation network. This organization oversees all global, middle, and last mile products, spanning B2B and B2C, critical partners, enterprise and SMB customers across numerous teams. This includes—but is not limited to—Amazon Freight, Amazon Relay, Amazon Freight Partners, Amazon Shipping, Amazon Flex, Amazon Hub, Amazon Hub Delivery and delivery service partner. Creative Garage (CG) is the central creative team supporting the portfolio of global transportation products. The team focuses on building brand awareness, recognition, acquisition, and engagement with global transportation brands through the human stories behind logistics. The team builds and owns the global brands and the creative expression of these brands throughout the customer journey. We work closely with global marketing and customer insights partners to test and learn creative, ensuring our design and messaging solutions resonate with the target audience. We have high standards and strive to continuously raise the bar across all creative elements.

Creative Garage is seeking a hands-on, experienced, and versatile Copywriter who turns business goals and creative vision into world-class executions. They will drive the evolution of our brand voice across all customer and internal touch points. They are a strategic thinker with the ability to flex between messaging strategy and developing campaign concepts, authoring how concepts take shape across mediums, including video, digital, social, OOH, direct mail, collateral, email, partnerships, and more. This person has experience developing messaging strategy for brand development, leveraging customer insights to inform recommendations.

The Copywriter must demonstrate exceptional ownership and bias for action, strong creative thinking and problem solving, and maintain clear and concise communication to peers, stakeholders and leaders. They thrive as part of a dynamic creative team, valued as one of the team’s creative minds and driver of great work.

We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in copywriting at an advertising/design agency and/or known brand

  • An available online portfolio

  • Experience across a variety of channels (digital, social, direct mail, film, OOH, etc)

  • Knowledge of creative and writing process, including mechanics and meticulous grammar

Preferred Qualifications

  • Global brand writing experience a plus

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication

  • Strong presentation skills

  • Highly proficient in copywriting, up on market trends—creates, applies, and encourages execution of best practices

  • Able to conceptualize and execute projects with strong bias for action

  • Impeccable attention to detail, excellent writing as well as design sensibilities

  • B2B, transportation and/or logistics design experience a bonus, but not required

  • Basic understanding of and/or experience in the freight shipping/supply chain or similar industry a bonus, but not required

  • A self-starting, bias-for-action personality who is able to thrive in ambiguity

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Creative Marketing, Journalism, Communications or similar relevant discipline

  • Strong team player, able to take and incorporate creative direction to elevate output

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $108,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
