Jacobs Mid-Level Storm Water Engineer in Bellevue, Washington

Jacobs is seeking a Mid-Level Storm Water Engineer to lead work on stormwater planning, design, and construction documents for stormwater retrofit, transportation, and site development projects. You love infrastructure engineering and have a passion for investing in people as well. This hybrid role can be based out of our Bellevue, WA or Portland, OR office.

As a Mid-Level Storm Water Engineer, you will have the opportunity to contribute to a variety of exciting and engaging infrastructure projects including some of the region’s leading large-scale projects and programs for local agencies and municipalities. In this position you will lead stormwater design and hydraulic modeling for a variety of water-resources related projects including water quality retrofits and habitat restoration, and transportation projects including transit, site development, highway, and light rail extensions. Work may include design from concept level to final construction documents including writing and assembling stormwater and hydraulic reports. Candidates with a wide variety of design and task leadership experience would be viewed favorably. Typical activities may include performing hydrologic and hydraulic analysis, providing detailed calculations, producing construction plans, drainage reports, specifications, and cost estimates, and delegating similar tasks to early career staff. Hydrology and hydraulic models used for typical projects include WWHM, MGSFlood, and others required to meet State and local agency requirements. Under the mentorship of senior level staff, you will have the opportunity to exercise judgment and make recommendations in the development and creation of storm drainage plans for complex, multi-disciplined projects, potentially with multiple types of construction delivery methods including design-build. In this role you will have ample opportunity for career growth as you lead engineering teams and support staff development. This is a hybrid position.
