System One is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Plant Integration Engineer to support the design and integration of Energy Island Systems, Structures, and Components.

This remote, 12 month contract position will report directly to the Plant Design Oversight Manager and collaborate closely with our partner organizations. The successful candidate will be responsible for technical and administrative design support, providing oversight for power cycle and auxiliary systems, and ensuring cross-functional integration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical oversight and integration for geographically distributed teams working on Energy Island system deliverables.

• Support the development of steam, power, and auxiliary system components in the plant’s 3D model for assigned systems.

• Collaborate with partner companies and/or Architect/Engineer firms to manage and control system and structure interfaces.

• Facilitate communication and integration between different plant design departments, including 3D model development and plant integrated analysis.

Key Qualifications and Skills:

• Proven leadership abilities, with a focus on driving cross-functional collaboration and system integration for Energy Island components.

• Minimum of 10 years of relevant design experience, particularly in nuclear or commercial power plant design or modifications, with an emphasis on power generation systems and equipment.

• Strong team player with the ability to work effectively across geographically dispersed and potentially international teams.

• Broad technical expertise and experience leading integrated, cross-functional design efforts.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex design integration information to senior management, engineering teams, and clients.

• Experience working in conceptual design environments, with a focus on first-of-a-kind projects that require sound engineering judgment to meet project objectives.

• Familiarity with design quality standards such as ASME NQA-1 or ISO 9001.

• Strong sense of integrity, openness, and respect for teamwork, fostering a positive collaborative work environment.
