We are looking for a dynamic, organized self-starter to join as a Principal Product Manager in SCOT, to develop, measure and improve Inventory efficiency initiatives. In this role, you will orchestrate and lead the development of end-to-end solutions for inventory management that will be consumed by organizations and leadership WW. You are expected to support the business through the development of metrics and reporting solutions, standardizing those that already exist, develop the SOPs to connect the dots across metrics and tools currently used, conduct data reviews and in-depth analysis. You will be responsible for building out the tools for analysis as well as the processes to inform our business decisions. You will also provide advice and mentoring to BIE’s, DE and PM’s and you are a key influencer in your team’s strategy development and will contribute significantly to team planning.

The successful candidate will have strong analytical and managerial skills and can prioritize well, communicate clearly, and have a consistent track record of delivering results by applying and utilizing business insights and analytics. This role offers an opportunity to make business-critical decisions that will minimize costs while continuing to increase the availability of inventory and hence speed at which we deliver our customers’ orders. Done correctly, this role will impact and improve our customer experience by increasing the confidence and trust of our customers in that Amazon is the one, best option for ‘want it, click it, have it.’. This role will become the expert on Amazon’s best-in-class supply chain systems and leverage this to both develop new ways to benchmark inventory efficiency and hence success as well as drive continuous improvements in customer experience. This senior leader will be highly visible and is a critical position within Amazon, as the key provider of regular updates to executives across the company.

Key job responsibilities

In this role, your key responsibilities will be:

  • Driving inventory efficiency improvements through deep dives, insights and driving actions through influence in a global demand and supply chain organization for all of Amazon.com

  • Developing actionable insights that relentlessly provide a better customer experience and hold WW functions accountable for improving their outcomes.

  • Lead and influence a team of experienced Product Managers and BIEs to connect the dots across inventory outcomes and present continued insights to leadership to drive future investment decisions.

  • Work with WW Operations, Category Leaders, In-Stock Managers, Engineering, Transportation experts, Product and Finance partners to provide solutions

  • Establishing and leading solutions across multiple teams

  • Mining and analyzing data for metrics and decision support

  • Develop new insights and tools to understand customer intent and create 3-5 year roadmaps.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

  • 10+ years of technical product or program management experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working directly with Engineers on product enhancements

  • Experience in project management methodologies, business analysis, or process improvement

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $161,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $279,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
