Actalent Project Manager in Bellevue, Washington

Job Title: Construction Project ManagerJob Description

The Construction Project Manager will support sales functions by assisting with request for quote preparation, project development, and proposals. This role involves validating project scope, cost, and schedule by reviewing contract and subcontract documents, attending pre-bid validation meetings, holding internal meetings, and establishing customer expectations. The manager is responsible for change order management by identifying opportunities, recommending solutions, facilitating quotes, utilizing pricing strategies, and closing orders to provide total solutions across business streams. Maintaining customer satisfaction through supporting company initiatives, building customer relationships, investigating concerns, implementing corrective actions, and developing communication plans with both internal and external stakeholders is crucial. The manager will utilize properly qualified engineers and subcontractors, oversee the subcontractor RFQ process, award subcontracts, manage subcontractor execution, and collaborate with subcontractors to establish communication guidelines for project progress, project meetings, billing expectations, project safety, and foster professional relationships. Additionally, the manager will financially manage all aspects of projects including cash flow, monthly forecasted cost/revenue, forecasted cost at completion, monitoring expenses, collections support, applied cost, buy-out plans, and will be knowledgeable on financial impacts when adjusting cost categories. The role also includes creating and maintaining project schedules, generating tasks, dependencies, milestones, critical path, resource assignments, identifying future planning needs and resource constraints, and collaborating with Controls PM to establish project task communications for project progress. The manager will lead all aspects of project administration, ensuring adherence to contract penalty clauses and/or liquidated damages, analyzing reports to identify project deficiencies, providing guidance on corrective actions, managing projects to business compliance, project documentation, safety guidelines, and navigating through requirements of governing agencies including state, city, county, federal, and local levels.

Hard Skills

  • 7+ Years' experience as a Construction Project Manager, preferably in the MEP construction, managing projects that are $2m+ in budget

  • Advanced understanding of the development phase related to construction energy project and opportunities

  • Knowledgeable on all construction systems and technologies

  • Experience with budgeting labor

  • Managing subcontractor data

  • Speaking in front of clients and communicating with owners

  • Experience with project scheduling and PM construction software

Soft Skills

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 12 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a hybrid position requiring some days on-site in Bellevue, Washington and some days remote.

Work Environment

Hybrid work schedule, 3 days in office or onsite at projects, 2 days remote. Office is in Bellevue. Schedule is either 7am-4pm or 8am-5pm.
