Revenue Accounting Manager

Overview

Edifecs is seeking a Revenue Accounting Operations Manager for our Finance Team in Bellevue. Reporting to the Director of Revenue, the Revenue Accounting Manager will lead the billing operations functions, drive process improvements, and provide insightful reporting and analysis.

 

What you will do:

  • Lead the billing operation to ensure timely and accurate billing by internal deadlines. Supervise billing specialists daily work and review billing detail information to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Responsibilities include some direct billing responsibilities for more complex areas, including variable consideration and professional services, working to develop a standardized process.
  • Monitor professional service project revenue by managing percentage of completion on project records in NetSuite. Collaborate with professional services team to ensure accuracy of percentage completion information and accurate service revenue reporting.
  • Own revenue month-end close process: prepare revenue journal entries, prepare deferred revenue reconciliation, unbilled accounts receivable reconciliation, accounts receivable reconciliation, sales commission reconciliation, prepare revenue by product report and prepare monthly royalty reports and other related month-end closing reports and schedules.
  • Monitor contracts subject to royalty accounting to ensure accurate royalty revenue reporting to resellers and partners. Confirm accuracy for royalty reports received from resellers and partners.
  • Perform sales tax reconciliation between accounting record and Avalara and file sales tax timely and accurately. Reconcile sale tax related accounts monthly.
  • Monitor AR aging collection progress and status. Conduct regular meetings with the collection specialist to resolve collection issues, clear roadblocks and provide suggestions/advice on action steps to successfully collect for open invoices. Summarize and report the collection progress with the direct supervisor. Perform AR reserve analysis and assist with AR aging reporting.
  • Assist with ad hoc reporting requests: create customized reports based on information from NetSuite as needed.
  • Collaborate with finance team on financial planning, analysis and reporting activities.
  • Prepare support packages and reports for annual audit. Assist in financial audits and implement audit recommendations.
  • Comply with company accounting standards and guidelines.

What you will bring:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related area
  • Minimum of 5+ years accounting experience
  • CPA preferred
  • Strong Excel skills and Power Pivot skills
  • Track record of leveraging technology and improving accounting processes
  • Experience with people management and supervision
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Organized with a strong attention to detail
  • Experience with NetSuite preferred

     

Note:Theexpectedbase pay range for this positionis $90,000 - $123,000per year.
