Amazon Senior Technical Program Manager in Bellevue, Washington

Description

The End User Computing market is growing at an incredible pace with a rapid increase in adoption and growth. Within End User Computing, AWS AppStream provides a fully managed Desktop-as-a-Service (DaaS) solution that enables end users to access applications and desktops from anywhere on any device while data remains secure. We are looking to revolutionize End User Computing space by launching multiple new initiatives this year.

In the process you will have the opportunity to work on a number of industry leading AWS services including EC2, S3, DynamoDB, Kinesis, Step Functions, Lambda and SWF. Key job responsibilities

As a Senior Technical Program Manager on our team, you will drive important cross team initiatives to develop next generation AppStream solutions by working closely with senior technical leaders within the team and across AWS. You will collaborate and influence across multiple development teams to design, develop, test, and deploy secure, scalable services. You will work on highly visible projects and collaborate closely with product owners, engineering leaders, and leadership across the company. You'll drive a culture that values operational excellence, security, customer focus, and continuous improvement. You will have significant influence on our overall product strategy by helping define the features, drive the system architecture, and spearhead the best practices that enable a quality product.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of technical product or program management experience

  • 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience

  • 3+ years of software development experience

  • 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience

  • Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience

  • Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules

  • Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
