Amazon Sr Product Manager, Amazon Customs in Bellevue, Washington

Description

The Amazon Customs and Trade Program and Product team is expanding footprint, services, and solutions to support our expanding client base. Join the dynamic team as a Senior Product Manager and put your customs brokerage, international trade and/or government systems experience to work envisioning and building innovative customs and trade products.

Key job responsibilities

  • Responsible for the planning, execution, and delivery of customs declaration system (CBMS) features globally.

  • Work cross functionally to roll out CBMS features and develop success metrics (e.g, customer delight, adoption, sales, ROI) for all key launches.

  • Follow Amazon product development best practices and work backwards to be the ‘Voice of the Customer’ and lead the prioritization process for planning cycles.

  • Responsible for identifying changes required or desired of Amazon Customs and Trade Product, impact and coordinating action across all impacted products through implementation.

  • Drive CBMS product discussions, distill clear requirements from large and diverse sets of ACT customers and feed them in product planning cycle.

  • Influence technical prioritize and business strategy through data driven contributions and make sure that technology teams are aligned with customer needs.

  • Support development of CBMS launch product plans with have clear, measurable success criteria.

  • Proactively mitigate risks and help reduce a product’s exposure to classic failure modes.

  • Proactively seek out new and improved data/mechanisms that make the customer experience visible and to ensure your product stays aligned with business goals.

  • Define showstoppers related to product quality, make sure bugs are triaged, and ensure issues are resolved or mitigated in the right order.

  • Change Implementation: Lead the end-to-end process of implementing changes to existing products, including coordinating cross-functional teams, communicating to internal team and stakeholders, developing roadmap and ensuring timely execution.

  • Assess the impact of proposed changes on product performance, quality, regulatory compliance, and customer obsession. Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies. Identify any opportunities for leveraging existing solutions/aligning with other teams.

  • Maintain accurate documentation of change requests, approvals, and implementation plans. -Ensure development in compliance with regulatory requirements and internal procedures.

  • Facilitate sustained communication among internal stakeholders.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

  • Experience with end to end product delivery

  • Experience as a product manager or owner

  • Experience owning technology products

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in influencing senior leadership through data driven insights

  • Experience working across functional teams and senior stakeholders

  • Hands on with data, SQL is a bit plus.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $124,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $206,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
