Amazon Sr Program Manager, Relay Fleet Tech in Bellevue, Washington

The Relay Fleet Tech team owns hardware and software products for telematics, asset management and maintenance, visibility, and reusables for Middle Mile. Our primary customers are carriers, fleet operations, planning and optimization, sort-tech, and loss prevention teams. Our team is looking for a talented, motivated, and self-directed Senior Program Manager to join our team. As a Senior Program Manager, you will support product and operational needs and continuous improvement of hardware and software technology and products. The role requires broad technical, business, and operational knowledge in hardware product development, certification and qualification, solution operation, and vendor and partner engagement. It requires an aptitude for working with cutting-edge technology and a passion for finding creative solutions to delight our customers, internally and externally.

As an ideal candidate, you will need a background in program management or product management of technology products or programs, demonstrated cross-functional leadership, and experience working with a diverse set of customers. You possess the ability to synthesize customer pain points, develop requirements, build project plans, drive decision making, and manage all aspects of execution. This requires rapid learning in new domain areas, understanding integration between products and systems, technical skillsets in analyzing data to make product decisions. This role is inherently cross-functional—you will work closely with engineering, business, finance, and executive teams to bring products to market. This job requires exceptional communication skills and having the ability to work independently in a high-pressure environment with all levels of leadership, and exercise sound judgment where clear guidelines may not exist. The successful candidate will be proficient at solving complex challenges, communicating persuasively and with a strong bias to get things done and deliver results.

Key job responsibilities

Program Management

  • Manage and oversee various cross-functional hardware and software launches and programs, ensuring successful delivery.

  • Develop and refine detailed program strategies and milestone trackers in collaboration with product teams, effectively leading and motivating teams.

  • Set clear objectives for programs, leveraging data analytics to drive improvements and achieve metrics.

  • Develop collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to optimize resource allocation and project success.

  • Evaluate and prioritize projects in conjunction with customer needs and technical team inputs.

  • Regularly communicate with senior managers, business leaders, and other stakeholders to support key business initiatives.

Data and reporting

  • Develop, implement, and oversee program metrics and hardware installation reporting for the programs, ensuring clear visibility of milestones and project performance.

  • Manage and communicate project budgets effectively.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of program or project management experience

  • Bachelor's degree in business, data science, public administration, finance, engineering, human resources or related field

  • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

  • Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams

  • Proven experience launching and/or leading programs

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of driving process improvements experience

  • Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field

  • Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)

  • Experience with hardware, embedded product or data analytics products

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $104,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
