Your Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Wastewater Leader to spearhead our wastewater initiatives in the Seattle Metro Area. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead cutting-edge projects, including the Puget Sound Initiative, focusing on nutrient removal and climate change resiliency. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional technical expertise and outstanding interpersonal skills, thriving in a collaborative and diverse team environment.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage wastewater projects, ensuring technical excellence and innovative solutions.

  • Drive the Puget Sound Initiative, emphasizing nutrient removal and climate change resiliency.

  • Collaborate with a diverse team of experts to deliver high-quality, sustainable projects.

  • Mentor and develop junior staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.

  • Engage with clients and stakeholders, building strong relationships and ensuring project success.

  • Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements, integrating best practices into project delivery.

Qualifications

Your Capabilities and Credentials

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in wastewater management, with a focus on nutrient removal and climate change resiliency.

  • Proven leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a client-focused approach.

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a passion for innovation.

Pay transparency laws require employers to provide the following information for positions that may be in the following jurisdiction(s):

Salary Range(s):

  • $115,900 - $173,800 Min/Max Pay Range for postings located in WA

The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.

Benefits Summary: Regular full-time and part-time employees have access to medical, dental, and vision plans, a wellness program, health saving accounts, flexible spending accounts, 401(k) plan, employee stock purchase program, life and accidental death & dismemberment (AD&D) insurance, short-term/long-term disability plans, emergency travel benefits, tuition reimbursement, professional membership fee coverage and paid family leave. Regular full-time and part-time employees will receive ten paid holidays in each calendar year. In addition, employees will be eligible to accrue vacation between 10 and 20 days per year and eligible for paid sick leave (and if more generous, in accordance with state and local law).

Temporary/casual employees have access to 401(k) plans, employee stock purchase program, and paid leave, in accordance with state and local law.

  • Washington state employees are eligible to accrue 1 hour of paid sick leave for every 40 hours worked except for Seattle employees who accrue sick leave in accordance with the city’s paid sick leave law.

The benefits information listed above may not apply to union positions because benefits for such positions are governed by applicable collective bargaining agreements.
