This is a 12-week paid learning experience during which you'll be able to connect and network with other interns and leaders within the company. As a Data Science Intern, you are required to understand applying machine learning techniques and statistical methods to solve business problems. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of technical and non-technical business stakeholders on a wide range of challenges. You should understand the entire machine learning (ML) lifecycle, including problem framing, data collection, exploratory data analysis, model development, deployment, performance measurement and operationalization. You will learn to extract value out of data for T-Mobile. What you'll do: Employ a combination of skills including machine learning theory, mathematics, statistics, and programming to solve complex problems Perform statistical analyses on ad hoc business problems. Define problems in mathematical terms. For example, "Why is product feature X underperforming?" and "What data on user behavior might help explain it?" Communicate important information and insights to business leaders using verbal, written, and data visualization skills. Preferred Qualifications: Must be currently enrolled in a graduate degree program (Masters, MBA, Juris Doctorate, or PhD) in Data Science, Statistics, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or related field. Must live or have a place to stay in Bellevue, WA, Frisco, TX, or Atlanta, GA This role is not eligible for relocation. Intern must have reliable transportation to work in office. Experience with data scripting languages (e.g., Python and/or R, and SQL, etc.) Experience in data visualization Experience developing statistics-based analytics reports Calculus, linear algebra, statistics, and probability Machine Learning (classification, regression, clustering) Strong communication skills, ability to work with cross-functional teams Minimum Qualifications At least 18 years of age Legally authorized to work in the United States Must have graduated within the last 12-months, OR be actively enrolled in a Bachelors or Graduate degree program Employees of T-Mobile or Metro by T-Mobile are ineligible for Internships Employer does not sponsor work visas for this position. Note that this also applies to individuals who are students in F-1 status who desire sponsorship after they complete their education. Relocation assistance may be provided to program participants who reside more than 50 miles from the internship location. Intern wages range from $20/hour to $40/hour.
