Volt Management Corp. Thermal Hydraulics Analyst (1176) in Bellevue, Washington

Volt is immediately hiring for a Remote-Thermal Hydraulics Analyst with a client located in Bellevue, Washington. Our client is a world leader in new nuclear technologies for hybrid energy and medical applications. In this role, you will mature methodologies, support the test program, and perform analyses to evaluate the behavior for these advanced energy systems under various conditions. As a Thermal Hydraulics Analyst you will do: * Computational analysis of in-core steady-state thermal hydraulic phenomena * Perform code benchmarking and validation analyses to support code qualification and methodology development * Perform calculations using first principles of heat transfer, fluid dynamics, and thermodynamics to support and validate analysis results * Integrate with other engineering groups performing aspects of component, system, fuel, and control system analysis and related thermal-hydraulic testing * Support development of testing programs needed for reactor core & components This is a full-time contingent role. Ideal candidate will have: * B.S, M.S. or Ph.D. in Mechanical, Nuclear, or other relevant technical Engineering area from an accredited university * Minimum of 10 years of experience in thermal hydraulic analysis with a B.S. degree, or 8+ years with an M.S. or Ph.D. degree with a demonstrated ability to produce a high-quality work product * 8+ years' experience in Nuclear Systems Thermal-Hydraulic behavior and analyses * Demonstrated knowledge and experience in bench-scale or full-scale experimental testing operations * Experience writing specifications for procurement, testing and fabrication a plus * Demonstrated ability to participate on a multi-disciplinary team of engineers * Experience with a nuclear systems code (e.g. RELAP, SAS4A/SASSYS-1) a plus * Experience with analysis of nuclear reactor core subchannel analysis a plus * Experience with low Prandtl number heat transfer analysis a strong plus * Experience with high temperature thermal-fluid systems (e.g. sodium) a plus * Creative thinker with demonstrated strong analytical/problem solving skills Pay Rate: $80-90.00 per hour *Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc. Qualified candidates should APPLY NOW for immediate consideration!
