David Evans and Associates Transportation Project Engineer in Bellevue, Washington

David Evans and Associates (DEA) is seeking aTransportation Project Engineerfor ourBellevue office. As a Transportation Project Engineer your responsibilities will be diverse and will include leading Right-of-Way discipline for large complex projects, managing support staff, leading meetings internal and external and other project stakeholders, working with project managers and directors, preparing calculations, reviewing plans (in CADD, PDF and other electronic format), preparation of ROW exhibits for communicating with project team members and utilizing software such as Bluebeam, Microsoft suite (e.g. excel, word, project, powerpoint). Areas of focus will be Right-of-Engineering, project/task management, general civil engineering design, including; knowledge of roadway design, drainage design, utility design, structural design, traffic engineering and right-of-way engineering (ROW) for a variety of public transportation projects. Responsibilities for ROW work includes but are not limited to: ROW Engineering, including Right-of-Entries, project access plans, property right determination, project ROW tracking and management, preparation of property rights and support exhibits Post design support during construction including management of temporary construction easements (activation and tracking) ROW Engineering close-out including; surplus, permeant easements generation and property assignment/dedications, BLA/LLA and other tasks needs to fully close ROW for projects. Coordination and support to project teams, including directors, design managers, construction managers, real property project managers and team, legal and AHJs. Schedule updates and coordination Co-located assignments, including part time assignment in support of On-Call client needs - current co-location support with client is hybrid/remote work from home, limited in person or field meetings may be required, but typical day-to-day work can be performed remotely. Your project manager will handle in person meetings or site visits or delegate to others. Responsibilities for transportation engineering include but are not limited to: Working with project teams on all aspects of projects, including project set-up, design, quality reviews and quality assurance, project coordination/organization, etc. Preparing and reviewing improvement plans for a wide range of projects. Preparing and/or directing preparation and modification of construction documents, reports, specifications and designs for projects. Analyzing maps, reports, drawings, as-builts and test results for design projects. Assisting with post design construction support services to respond to contractor RFI's, submittal reviews, as-built preparation, and field observations. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree inCivil Engineering. 6+ yearsof transportation engineering experience 5+ yearsof experience as a Project Engineering with local agency and DOT road/highway projects. Passing of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam Knowledge in drafting software applications such as MicroStation, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D. Valid driver's license with a clear motor vehicle report. Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
