Veterans Outreach and Support Specialist (Project) Job ID: 14465 Location: Bellevue College Full/Part Time: Full Time Regular/Temporary: Temporary Position Summary The Veterans Outreach and Support Specialist works within the Veterans Resource Center (VRC) at Bellevue College. This position supports the mission of the college by providing high-quality, flexible, and accessible services that promote student access to educational opportunities, while advancing pluralism, inclusion, and global awareness. Reporting to the Director of Veterans Services, the Veterans Outreach and Support Specialist is responsible for coordinating outreach, intake, and onboarding military-affiliated students into Bellevue College. The specialist will collaborate independently with other VRC and Worker Retraining staff to offer student support and guide students through educational navigation, particularly for those participating in state and VA programs. Key duties include: • Conduct outreach to prospective military-affiliated students. • Organize events, workshops, and other programs regularly. • Assist military-affiliated students with applications for BC admissions, VA benefits, worker retraining, and financial aid. • Assess student needs and provide guidance on available federal, state, local, and campus resources. • Help students navigate the college system and identifying barriers to their success. This position plays a vital role in helping veterans and military-affiliated students successfully transition to and thrive in the Bellevue College community. Pay, Benefits & Work Schedule Position Salary Range: $45,900/year - $61,296/year The salary information shown above is a general guideline only. The salary will be determined based on candidate's qualifications and related experience, as well as market and business considerations. Individuals newly hired to Classified position are placed in a salary range based on the WPEA Collective Bargaining Agreement. We offer comprehensive compensation package with salary and benefits as the main components. Competitive salary is within the Range stated above, and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
