Robert Half Attorney/Lawyer in Belmont, North Carolina

Description

Robert Half has an immediate, full-time position for a Corporate Counsel with 3-5 years of experience. This position is primarily fully in-office with the ability to work from home on Fridays. As Corporate Counsel, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations, managing legal risks, and supporting various business operations. This position requires a deep understanding of corporate law, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly to non-legal stakeholders.

Responsibilities Include:

· Provide legal advice and support to management, departments, and employees on a wide range of legal matters related to corporate operations and activities.

· Review, draft, and negotiate various agreements, contracts, and legal documents, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and company policies.

· Conduct legal research to stay abreast of regulatory changes and developments in the chemical processing industry, and proactively advise the company on potential impact and necessary actions.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including executives, finance, operations, and human resources, to ensure legal compliance and mitigate risks.

· Assist in the development and implementation of corporate policies, procedures, and training programs to promote legal compliance and ethical conduct.

· Support the corporate governance function, including preparation for board meetings, regulatory filings, and compliance with applicable securities laws and regulations.

· Manage external legal counsel and assist with litigation matters, including dispute resolution, claims management, and regulatory investigations.

· Stay informed about emerging legal trends, best practices, and industry standards, and provide recommendations to enhance legal strategies and practices within the organization.

· Participate in due diligence processes for potential mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate transactions, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

· Maintain accurate and organized legal records and documentation, including contracts, policies, and legal research materials.
