Senior Project Engineer

The primary focus of the Senior Project Engineer is to develop project scope for approved projects proposed by Plant Performance Engineers and Production Process Engineers and drive them projects to successful completion and implementation in production.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide develop the constructability plans for the project, its cost, and preliminary schedule as needed for the CER (capital expenditure request) preparation.

  • Actively participate in all SHE and Quality Assessments required for CER submission.

  • The Senior Project Engineer will complete all activities required to successfully start up the project. These include (but are not limited to):

  • Commissioning and overseeing required Detail Engineering

  • Preparation of Bid packages and all cost negotiations in conjunction with Indirect sourcing

  • Developing and maintaining the Project Execution Schedule, including progress against milestones and deadlines

  • Regular project reporting (financial and managerial) and accurate CAPEX spend forecasting

  • Oversee all contractor works and costs

  • Budgetary responsibility according to DOA

  • Maintain budget and promptly report all risks to project budget

  • SHE oversight and monitoring of all contractors. Includes weekly SWP audits on projects in construction and all needed incident investigations, FMEAs, RCAs, etc.

  • All necessary Trackwise items (MOCs, Action Items) as required for Project Start up

  • Ensure all required validation protocols are written, approved, and implemented in projects in his/her responsibility

  • Obtain and install into inventory all spare parts judged essential in the criticality review

  • Formulate initial PM programs in the project

  • PSSR and Start Up Punch List owner

  • Supporting the Operations RtO manager as they author/edit SOPs and Training Documents.

  • Project Close out and TECO

  • Ensures site compliance with engineering codes & practices, safe operating windows and corporate requirements (SHE, Manufacturing, Finance) and cGMP standards.

  • Effective and efficient allocation of the Improve Plant Department Operational Expense Budget in the area of under his/her direct control (primarily this includes accurate and timely entry of MEB hours for him/herself and any subordinate temporary engineers).

  • Participate in feasibility studies and plant trials in support of plant problems, opportunities, product development and technological innovations.

  • Ensure compliance with site management of change procedure for Improve Plant proposals. Responsible to ensure that all his/ her active projects are managed in the established Trackwise/IP processes.

You Bring:

  • BS degree in Engineering.

  • 3+ years' of Manufacturing experience in Plant Engineering or Project Engineering.

  • (Engineering) Project management experience.

  • Knowledge in food grade cGMP or Pharmaceutical/Cosmetic manufacturing environment is desirable.

  • Knowledge of ISO Systems, ICH Q7A and cGMPs.

  • Knowledge of Vitamin Forms & DSP processes, six sigma methodologies are desirable.

  • SAP and SRM experience to control project cost and track spending.
