MUST HAVE

  • Ability to work 3x12 hour shifts (open to having someone work 4x12)

  • Phlebotomy and Medical assisting skills

  • Patient care and Triage skills

  • Ability to take vitals and blood pressure

  • 3-6 months of urgent care experience OR 6 months to 1 year in a specialty clinic OR 1 year plus in a primary care setting

  • BLS certification from AHA

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant or Phlebotomist to join our team. This role involves rooming patients, taking vitals, entering lab results, and coordinating procedures. You will work closely with providers, set up and stock rooms, and perform point of care testing and blood draws. Additionally, you will be cross-trained for front desk duties and expected to cover as needed. Administrative responsibilities include checking lab results and reporting them to patients. The ideal candidate will have strong medical assisting or phlebotomy experience and basic math skills, as the environment can be unpredictable and requires a broad set of skills.

Responsibilities

  • Room patients and take vitals

  • Enter lab results and coordinate procedures

  • Work closely with providers

  • Set up and stock rooms

  • Perform point of care testing and blood draws

  • Be cross-trained for front desk duties and cover as needed

  • Check lab results and report them to patients

Work Environment

  • The work schedule is ideal, with 3-12 hour shifts and 3-4 days off in a row each week.

  • You must be available at least from Sunday to Thursday.

  • The primary work location is at the Sisemore location, but you may occasionally be asked to float to the 3rd street location (though this is rare).

  • The dress code includes black scrubs, and it is nice to have your own stethoscope.

  • Fun scrubs can be worn on weekends.

  • Typically, there will be 1-2 Medical Assistants, 1 provider, and 1 front desk staff on site.

  • This is a tight-knit team that supports each other, offering a huge opportunity to gain a variety of skills and assist in different procedures and testing, seeing a variety of acute patients.
