Job Summary: Assist the Maintenance Manager with daily operations of the Maintenance Department.

Essential Functions:

  • Ensures Health & Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all time

  • Responsible for assisting Maintenance Manager with daily operations, including prioritizing, scheduling, and controlling a predictive maintenance program to maintain production machinery and equipment in proper working condition

  • Efficiently servicing and maintaining production machinery in accordance with state and federal regulations and company policies and procedures

  • Supervising and coordinating activities of workers engaged in maintenance and mechanical operations

  • Inspecting jobs in process and at completion to ensure that standards of workmanship and safety are maintained

  • Maintaining inventories of maintenance materials, supplies, and repair parts at required levels

  • Periodically reviewing inventory for proper upkeep at plant facilities

  • Recommending, planning, and implementing equipment needs to improve production efficiency and/or cost reduction procedures

    Skill/Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Minimum of 5 years' maintenance, mechanical, welding, and fabrication experience

  • Exceptional interpersonal, oral and written communication skills

  • Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, RCRA, and DOT regulations

  • Management experience

  • Computer literacy

  • Industrial Engineering training preferred

The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 80 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 80 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Must wear all required protective equipment, and work in an outdoor environment and withstand exposure to extreme hot and cold temperatures and must pass a company physical and drug screen. Must be able to concentrate for long periods of time.
