Walmart Senior Manager, Marketing Planning And Strategy (Digital Engagement) in Bentonville, Arkansas

Position Summary...

What you'll do...

The Senior Manager of Planning & Strategy, Digital Engagement at Sam's Club is an important part of our organization. This role is as an individual contributor role, with no direct reports. You will have the responsibility of creating strategic plans and partnerships that enhance member adoption of digital shopping tools, promoting meaningful interactions that build trust, increase customer satisfaction, and contribute to omnichannel sales growth. You will understand digital marketing, technology stacks, and best practices in mobile apps and ecommerce. The primary focus is on growing digital engagement by encouraging members to download and transact through our mobile app. You will have a background in digital marketing, customer engagement, and data-driven strategies to increase member interactions and transactions through the app. You will report to the Sr. Director Marketing Planning & Strategy. You will be based on-site at our Sam's Club headquarters located in Bentonville, Arkansas.

What you'll do:

  • Digital Strategy Development: Develop and implement comprehensive digital marketing strategies to increase app downloads, user engagement, and transactions.

  • Campaign Management: Create, and increase marketing campaigns across multiple digital channels (social media, email, in-app notifications) to increase app usage.

  • Content Creation: Collaborate with the content team to produce compelling content that encourages members to use the app for ordering merchandise.

  • Customer Journey Optimization: Analyze the customer journey and identify opportunities to enhance the user experience in the app, from discovery to purchase.

  • Data Analysis: Use analytics tools to measure the performance of marketing campaigns. Provide regular reports and insights to senior leadership on main metrics and campaign effectiveness.

  • A/B Testing: Conduct A/B tests to determine the most thoughtful strategies for growing app engagement and transactions.

  • Partnerships and Collaborations: Work with our teams and external partners to create promotional offers, loyalty programs, and other incentives that encourage app usage.

  • Member Feedback: Gather and analyze member feedback to improve the app experience and address any pain points.

  • Budget Management: Manage the digital marketing budget, ensuring a high return on investment for all campaigns.

  • Stay Updated: Stay informed about the latest trends and best practices in digital marketing, mobile apps, and e-commerce.

What you'll bring:

  • 8-10+ years' experience in Marketing or other relevant fields.

  • 4+ years' experience in digital strategy development, developing content, and events strategy

  • Expert at translating internal narratives into public-facing content.

  • Executive-level presence, especially related to building compelling and easy to interpret presentations that inform decision-making.

  • Excel in a large matrix environment with a collaborative, team-oriented approach.

  • Experience working in a startup environment and doing more with less.

  • Experience in eCommerce or ad tech.

  • Experience working with legal, privacy and corporate communications teams.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$180,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field and 3 years' experience in marketing or related field OR 7 years'
