Job Description: Senior Manager of Incident Investigations

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager of Fraud Investigations to join our organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and leading a robust investigations capability that spans across multiple areas, such as identity, financial, loss prevention, cybersecurity, platform abuse, fraud rings, organized crime, etc. This role requires strong leadership skills, the ability to work effectively in a matrix organization, and the dedication to continuously evolve our fraud investigations capabilities to stay ahead of emerging threats. The Senior Manager of Fraud Investigations will also be responsible for influencing senior leadership and managing large teams, establishing standard operating procedures (SOPs), key performance indicators (KPIs), and efficient ways of working across multiple teams.

Responsibilities:

  1. Establish and lead a comprehensive investigations capability covering various domains of fraud, including identity, financial, loss prevention, cybersecurity, platform abuse, fraud rings, organized crime, etc.

  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategies and initiatives to combat fraud effectively.

  3. Influence senior leadership to prioritize fraud investigations and allocate necessary resources to support the investigations function.

  4. Define and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for fraud investigations, ensuring consistency and efficiency across teams.

  5. Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of fraud investigations and identify areas for improvement.

  6. Collaborate with legal, compliance, and risk management teams to ensure investigations comply with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies.

  7. Stay abreast of the evolving nature of fraud and proactively adapt investigations capabilities to address emerging threats.

  8. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the investigations team, encouraging the use of advanced technologies and methodologies.

  9. Build and manage a high-performing team of fraud investigators, providing mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities.

  10. Collaborate with external partners, law enforcement agencies, and industry associations to share best practices and stay informed about industry trends.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; advanced degree preferred.

  2. Minimum of 5+ years of experience in fraud investigations, preferably in a leadership role.

  3. Extensive knowledge and experience in investigating various types of fraud, including identity, financial, loss prevention, cybersecurity, platform abuse, fraud rings, organized crime, etc.

  4. Proven ability to work effectively in a matrix organization and influence senior leadership.

  5. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate large teams.

  6. Experience in establishing standard operating procedures (SOPs) and key performance indicators (KPIs) for investigations.

  7. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to make sound decisions quickly.

  8. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners.

  9. Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices related to fraud investigations.

  10. Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced and evolving environment.

HOBOKEN, New Jersey US-10279:The annual salary range for this position is $108,000.00-$216,000.00

San Bruno, California US-08848:The annual salary range for this position is $117,000.00-$234,000.00

Bentonville, Arkansas US-10735:The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$180,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
