Job Summary

  • The Senior Procurement Manager role entails leading global supplier performance, conducting market analysis, managing competitive bid processes, sourcing fixtures, and developing and implementing sourcing strategies and processes aligned with key business objectives to optimize product cost, quality, and fixtures.

  • Your contribution will be crucial in crafting and executing category strategies, revising the supplier matrix and product offerings, and driving process innovation to leverage Walmart's scale. As a sourcing expert, you will provide valuable market intelligence and insights into industry trends, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution while upholding high standards of quality, compliance, and sustainability innovation.

  • This role involves managing relationships with major fixtures suppliers, negotiating the best total cost of ownership for categories like Store Fixtures. You will lead category strategy development, oversee ongoing supplier performance, identify innovative partners, and drive cost-saving initiatives. It's a highly impactful and visible role within the Real Estate and Operations segment of the business.

What you'll bring:

  • Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation skills are essential for securing favorable terms with suppliers, encompassing pricing, payment terms, and contractual agreements. Effective negotiation can result in cost savings and foster improved supplier relationships.

  • Analytical Abilities: The capacity to evaluate supplier performance, analyze market trends, and make data-driven decisions is critical. This involves interpreting complex data to identify opportunities for process improvement and cost optimization.

  • Communication Skills: Effective communication is critical for this role to collaborate with internal stakeholders, negotiate with suppliers, and resolve conflicts. Clear and concise communication ensures alignment with business objectives and facilitates successful supplier relationships.

  • Strategic Thinking: You must possess strategic thinking skills to develop and implement sourcing strategies that align with organizational goals.

  • Supplier Relationship Management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers.

What you'll do:

  • Leading bid negotiations that include Walmart & Sam's Club US and Walmart International, delivering best total cost of ownership.

  • Maintaining and updating the supplier matrix for your categories including new sources of supply.

  • Driving product and process innovation, surety of supply and high standards of compliance.

  • Building strong and trusting relationships with team members and business partners; works collaboratively to achieve objectives.

Additional Comments:

  • You possess extensive knowledge of Indirect Procurement and Supplies/Fixtures within the Retail Industry.

  • Your expertise extends to category management.

  • You have hands-on experience with systems such as COUPA, TABLEAU, and SAP.

  • Your track record includes successfully leading process improvement initiatives, collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and implement solutions.

  • You have demonstrated strong negotiation skills.

  • Your natural curiosity drives you to continuously expand your knowledge beyond the minimum requirements of your role.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$180,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Option 1: Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, economics, technology, or related field and 5 years' experience in procurement strategy, contract management, analytics, or related field. Option 2: 6 years' experience in procurement strategy, contract management, analytics, or related field and 2 years' experience leading cross-functional teams/projects.
