Walmart Senior Manager, Software Engineering in Bentonville, Arkansas

We are seeking a Senior Manager, Software Engineer, who is passionate about implementing and managing Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) technologies to join our team. As a Walmart Senior Manager, you'll have the opportunity to be on the forefront of driving major financial transformations at Walmart scale.

About Team:

What you'll do:

  • Leads and directs in large-scale, complex, cross-functional projects by reviewing project requirements; translating requirements into technical solutions; directing and reviewing design artifacts (for example, proof of concepts, prototypes)

  • Ability developing code and/or configuring application, overseeing software design, reviewing unit test cases, communicating status and issues to team members and stakeholders.

  • Directing project team and cross functional teams, enhancing design to prevent reoccurrences of defects, ensuring on-time delivery and hand-offs, interacting with project manager to provide input on project plan and providing leadership to the project team.

  • Experience in SAP(Technical/Functional), Open stack and/or Big Data platform and can implement big ideas with a positive insights.

  • Demonstrated Expert Experience and knowledge of the following domain as a Functional (Configuration expertise): Master Data, SAP Finance and Controlling, and have these main skills: Extensive understanding of SAP Treasury, Tax, GL and AP

  • Ability to build products with focus on testability, someone who loves test coverage and TDD.

  • A disciplined approach to development, code review, testing, documentation, and code structure in a team environment

  • Constant desire to improve, learn more and take things to the next level and a passion for adopting the latest features in SAP and/or Kubernetes and/or Java, and/or Big Data platform.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of core design patterns to integrate with internal and external entities and data sources building fault tolerant systems.

  • Ability to design for fault tolerance and high availability.

  • You come to the table with a comprehensive knowledge of SAP and/or OpenStack combined with Agile methodologies of implementation.

  • You consider yourself to be a student of the world who thrives in an ever-changing environment that holds within it new challenges and chances to prove your expertise.

  • You'll oversee small project teams consisting of other engineers who will look to you as a trusted advisor, a subject matter expert who provides guidance and the right tools to get the job done.

  • Leads the work of cross-functional groups of ten to twenty engineers, including offshore associates, for assigned Engineering projects by providing pertinent documents, direction, and examples; identifying short- and long-term solutions and timeline; reviewing and approving proposed solutions; implementing new architectural patterns; and performing design and code reviews of changes.

  • Directs root cause analysis of critical business and production issues by reviewing and analyzing information (for example, issue, impact, criticality, possible root cause); directing actions as designated in the plan; interpreting the results to determine further action; directing root cause analysis to prevent future occurrence of issues; and reviewing and approving online documentation.

  • Supports business objectives by collaborating with business partners to identify opportunities and drive resolution; partnering with business to define priorities; identifying short- and long-term solutions; and leading cross-functional partnership.

  • Leads the discovery phase of large projects to develop high level design by partnering with the Product Management, Web Operations, Project Management, Business and User Experience teams; obtaining cross-function approvals; driving proof-of-concept; and implementing prototypes to validate ideas.

  • Drives the execution of multiple business plans and projects by identifying customer and operational needs; developing and communicating business plans and priorities; removing barriers and obstacles that impact performance; providing resources; identifying performance standards; measuring progress and adjusting performance; accordingly, developing contingency plans; and demonstrating adaptability and supporting continuous learning.

  • Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates by selecting and training; mentoring; assigning duties; building a team-based work environment; establishing performance expectations and conducting regular performance evaluations; providing recognition and rewards; coaching for success and improvement; and ensuring diversity awareness.

  • Promotes and supports company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by training and providing direction to others in their use and application; ensuring compliance with them; and utilizing and supporting the Open Door Policy

  • Ensures business needs are being met by evaluating the ongoing effectiveness of current plans, programs, and initiatives; consulting with business partners, managers, co-workers, or other key stakeholders; soliciting, evaluating, and applying suggestions for improving efficiency and cost-effectiveness; and participating in and supporting community outreach events.

  • Develop high performance and scalable solutions that extract, transform, and load big data.

  • Effectively translating requirements into project parameters while working with agility from cradle to grave

  • Helping cross-functional teams to solve business problems and develop solutions that enable us to redefine a "best-in-class" customer experience.

  • Encouraging the project teams that you oversee to work collaboratively and to aim for insight-driven outcomes.

What you'll bring:

You'll really wow us if...

  • Must have experience in SAP Finance areas like Treasury, General Ledger, Accounts payable, Controlling, Asset Accounting, Accounts Receivables, Bank Accounting etc.,

  • Hands on experience in configuration with SAP TRM, BCM and Cash Management

  • Experience with SAP support or green field implementations.

  • Good to have knowledge and understanding of latest SAP S4 HANA Treasury and Cash Management Solutions, but not required.

  • Define, plan and execute large scale SAP transformation programs.

  • Masters or bachelor's in computer science or related field with at least 10 to 15 years of experience in planning and implementing SAP Finance modules.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Ability to work in agile environment using scrum tools like JIRA.

  • Experience with minimum 5-10 large scale SAP Implementations/Rollout Experience.

  • Good Problem-Solving Skills and ability to handle issues independently.

The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00-$220,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
