About the Team:

Indirect Spend Management (ISM) is an international focused centralized procurement and best practice sharing organization which is a leader in adopting advanced procurement technologies to drive sourcing excellence and value creation across Walmart and its affiliates.

About the Position:

We are seeking a highly skilled Manager to lead our procurement strategy in different categories within Global and Local Supply Chain & Logistics space. This role is designed for a visionary professional focused on cover from Procurement Strategy to Implementation of Sourcing projects across our international markets. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Procurement and Operations in Supply Chain, Foreign Trade Operations, Ocean Freight, Air Freight and Ground Transportation, 3PL Warehouse negotiations, Freight Forwarding among other subcategories within Transportation, Distribution and Fleet Management Services.

Responsibilities include:

  • Execute medium to large sized strategic sourcing projects.

  • Work with cross-functional stakeholder groups to understand and document their business requirements.

  • Perform and validate data analysis and convert actionable insights into category strategy recommendations.

  • Lead different team in the development of project plans and drive the execution of the strategic sourcing strategy.

  • Develop innovative approaches to strategic sourcing while using analytics and processes to determine scenarios, benefits, risks and change management impact of each option.

  • Develop and manage strong relationships with business unit stakeholders as well as accesses market intelligence to enable fact-based prioritization of opportunities.

  • Assist in managing supplier relationships and driving continuous improvement in areas of cost savings, quality, and risk management.

  • Address any escalated questions or concerns related to strategic sourcing policies, processes and decisions.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Operations, Logistics or Supply Chain Management, Business administration, International Business, Industrial Engineering, Business Process Management, or equivalent experience.

  • 3-5 years of experience in strategic sourcing, management consulting, advisory or professional services role with a demonstrated track record of results and increasing level of responsibility.

  • Adaptive to fast paced, constantly changing environments.

  • Ability to work as part of a global team to collaborate across geographic and organizational boundaries to deliver better business results and share best practices.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Self-starter who thrives in a high-performing team-oriented environment

  • Excellent communicator with strong persuasion and influencing skills

  • Analytical and critical thinking skills

  • Specific expertise in designated indirect spend categories, as applicable

  • Demonstrating strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.) software

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Global Supply Chain, Foreign Trade, International / Local Transportation, Warehouse Management & 3PL experience.

  • Retail or Consulting industry experience.

  • Bilingual, desired. (English / Spanish).

Professional Designations

  • PMP (Project Management Professional) or SCMP (Supply Chain Management Professional) designations desired.

The annual salary range for this position is $70,000.00-$130,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
