Principal Product Manager, - E2E

What the team does..

"End to End Operations product team is leading the Workforce planning transformation to build an AI/ML powered future platform with an aim to improve the associate experience and embed advanced optimization algorithms to reduce lost sales and offer best customer experience.

We work closely with our data science teams to rapidly iterate through the algorithmic AI products starting from MVP and prototypes to scaling the solutions for large scale consumption by the enterprise."

You'll make an impact by...

  • Establishing a coherent and comprehensive product vision for the 'Workforce planning' product which aims at building a connected platform instead of siloed tools.

  • Partnering with Operations and data science leaders to understand and create relevant customer personas, perform user research and establish a deep understanding of the problem space

  • Working in highly cross functional environment and influencing the stakeholders towards the common vision

  • Putting in place proposals and hypotheses to solve pain points in the current workforce planning process, automate inputs, outputs and feedback loops using viable AI technologies

  • Building product requirement documents, end to end connected roadmaps and an agile execution plan based on rigorous prioritization and using relevant prioritization frameworks

  • Partnering with user experience designers to create a cohesive user journey

  • Partnering with data engineering, application engineering and ML engineers to define architecture and create scalable solutions

  • Delivering solutions that create an end-to-end impact of giving a comprehensive connected visibility of inputs and outputs across execution and planning engines and sending directives to these engines for harmonized execution

  • Guiding junior product managers for implementing best product practices

You will bring:

Standard job requirements and qualifications for each role plus add these

  • A total of 10+ years of experience in product management and more than 2 years of experience in workforce management/operations facing products

  • Experience driving highly cross functional products as a seasoned product manager

  • Exposure or understanding of forecasting techniques and/or data products

  • Experience working on products embedding ML and AI and basic understanding of data science models

  • Familiarity with working in an agile environment and tools to effectively manage and prioritize backlog, plan sprints and track progress

  • Exposure defining technical requirements for API contracts, application interfaces and/or platform components and working closely with engineering

  • Thorough understanding of product prioritization frameworks

  • You have an analytical mindset and a strong understanding of AI/ML techniques

  • You have experience with data products

  • You have exposure of working in ecommerce/retail

  • You have experience in workforce planning transformations

  • You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate and communicate at the necessary level of detail depending on the audience, including senior leadership.

  • You have strong product skills (not limited to but including discovery, backlog curation, persistent prioritization, road mapping, shepherding builds, collaboration with data scientists, and ownership of key business outcomes).

  • You demonstrate being able to communicate horizontally and vertically across many stakeholders.

You have shown an ability to build relationships and influence without authority

The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00-$220,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or related area and 8 years' experience as a product manager, ideally working on consumer-facing, large-scale, highly complex B2B/C products, Supervisory experience, We value candidates with a background in creating inclusive digital experiences, demonstrating knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly. The ideal candidate would have knowledge of accessibility best practices and join us as we continue to create accessible products and services following Walmart's accessibility standards and guidelines for supporting an inclusive culture.
