What you'll do...

We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Principal Systems and Infrastructure Engineer for our Security Operations Research Engineering Group. This role is ideal for someone passionate about pushing the boundaries of conventional cybersecurity practices and is tenacious about working through tasks that have unknown outcomes. The successful candidate will lead projects that bridge the gap between fundamental research and deployable solutions that aid in protecting against sophisticated threats.

This position is located in Bentonville, AR, Reston, VA, or Atlanta, GA.

What you'll do:

• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to propose, design, prototype, and measure new ideas to relevant problems.

• Research cutting-edge solutions to problems in various facets of the field of security

• Analyze and improve systems and workflows

• Participate in the entire research lifecycle from ideation to deployment

• Stay up to date with the latest academic research in cybersecurity andevaluate its potential for application within the company.

• Synthesize, document, and present research findings and developments to both technical and non-technical audiences

What you'll bring:

• A history of creativity, innovation, and motivation in solving problems, as evidenced by projects in your personal portfolio

• Expertise in one or more aspects of computer security research (e.g., systems, networks, HCI, cryptography, privacy) OR collaborative security research in non-CS domains, as evidenced by peer-reviewed publications in top venues

• Experience using data analysis tools for measurement and to develop insights (Jupyter/numpy/Pandas, R, or others)

• An ability to rapidly prototype complex ideas in industry standard languages with minimal assistance (Python, C, Rust, or others)

• An up-to-date knowledge of the state of the art in one or more aspects of computer security research and experience reading computer science academic literature and identifying strengths, shortcomings, and opportunities for transfer to industry

• Excellent presentation skills to a range of audiences and a collaborative mindset

The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00-$220,000.00

Minimum Qualifications...

Option 1: Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, information systems, cybersecurity, or related area and 5years' experience in systems and infrastructure engineering or related area at a technology, retail, or data-driven company.

Option 2: 7 years' experience in systems and infrastructure engineering or related area at a technology, retail, or data-driven company.

Certification in Security+, GISF, CISSP, CCSP, or GSEC, Master's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, information systems, cybersecurity or related area and 3 years' experience leading information security or cybersecurity projects, We value candidates with a background in creating inclusive digital experiences, demonstrating knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly.
