Gogebic-Ontonagon Intermediate School District Board Certified Behavior Analyst in Bergland, Michigan

The Gogebic-Ontonagon ISD is seeking team-oriented applicants for a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). The candidate selected will join a team that is committed to serving local districts, staff, students, and families through collaborative practices that promote innovative approaches to education.

Education and Experience:

  1. A minimum of a Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis or related field and hold an active status as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or ability to obtain
  2. Other valid licenses, certifications, approvals, and registrations required to practice as a BCBA in the State of Michigan

Responsibilities:

  1. Support LEAs with planning and implementation of behavior support interventions/strategies/programs for individual students, groups or school-wide.
  2. Consult, counsel, and collaborate with school personnel, students, parents, and appropriate community agencies regarding behavioral and educational concerns developed in a multi-tiered system of support
  3. Provide services to students experiencing moderate to significant behavioral problems.
  4. Assists in the development of student behavior management plans and functional behavior assessments
  5. Develop and facilitate professional development for local school district staff and administration around research-based best practices, collection of behavior data, functional analysis, and other related topics.
  6. As needed, participate as a member of Continuous Improvement Teams, Student Assistance Teams, Behavior Support Team meetings, IEP meetings, or Multidisciplinary Evaluation Team (MET) meetings.
  7. Support implementation of Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) and Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS).
  8. Guide LEA problem-solving and implementation planning through a data-based decision-making process designed to use capacity, fidelity, and student data.
  9. Serve as a liaison to community agencies regarding behavior support and related service
  10. Support parents with techniques to assess and implement positive behavior strategies in the home/community environments.
  11. Other duties as assigned by the Director of General Education.

Location: Gogebic & Ontonagon Counties

Compensation: Per the terms of the GOISDEA Master Agreement
