Robert Half Systems Business Analyst in Berkeley, California
Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Systems Business Analyst in Berkeley, California. As a Systems Business Analyst, you will play a vital role in evaluating, selecting, and implementing a new accounting software system that aligns with our business needs. You will be actively involved in business and technical requirement gathering, system integration, and problem-solving, working closely with our Finance and IT teams.
Responsibilities
• Engage with stakeholders to understand and document both business and technical requirements.
• Analyze new accounting software systems and make recommendations based on business needs, scalability, and integration capabilities.
• Collaborate with Finance and IT teams to ensure the selected system aligns with business goals and is feasible to implement.
• Oversee the system implementation process, ensuring it meets business requirements and integrates seamlessly.
• Address any challenges that arise during the implementation phase, providing solutions and optimizing the new system.
• Continually work with Finance and IT teams post-implementation, addressing issues, and optimizing the system.
• Assist in aligning the new accounting software system with business needs, by working closely with the Finance team. Requirements • Candidate must have a minimum of 7 years of experience as a Systems Business Analyst.
• Proficiency in Business Systems is essential.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct Gap Analysis.
• Must have a deep understanding of Business Process Functions.
• Experience in preparing Business Requirement Documents is required.
• Proficiency in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning.
• Must possess skills in Account Analysis and Account Reconciliation.
• Familiarity with the Accounting close process is necessary.
• Knowledge of Accounting Functions and operations is required.
• Must have experience with Accounting Procedures.
• Proficiency in using Accounting Software Systems.
• Familiarity with Accruals is necessary.
• Experience with Annual Financial Reporting is required.
• Must be proficient in the use of Chart of Accounts.
• Knowledge of Corporate Accounting and Corporate Finance is necessary.
• Familiarity with US GAAP is required.
• Must have experience with Monthly Statements and Month End Close.
• Strong Analysis skills are required.
• Must be familiar with SOX - Sarbanes-Oxley.
