Naval Medical Command AUDIOVISUAL PRODUCTION SPECIALIST in Bethesda, Maryland

Summary You will serve as a AUDIOVISUAL PRODUCTION SPECIALIST in the Director Visual Information of NAVMEDSUP DET BETHESDA MD. Responsibilities You will serve as an Audiovisual Production Specialist with responsibility for videotaping live and special events, medical procedures, productions and training classes. You will provide audiovisual support, scheduling of classrooms, auditoriums, and issues audiovisual equipment. You will compile data and prepare reports which reflect equipment usage, man-hours expended, number of work orders received, number of conferences or classes. You will operate video cameras, switchers, character - generators, non-linear computer editing systems, lighting equipment and remote controlled camera. You will transport , set up and operate both audio and video production equipment. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience implementing knowledge of the processes, methodologies, personnel, equipment and related requirements involved in planning and carrying out the stages necessary to produce audiovisual productions, Experience developing staff schedules, coordinating staff activities and making administrative and logistical arrangements. Experience using sources of audio-visual talent and special effects, such as casting lists music libraries, stock footage and post-production services, to acquire the elements needed for a completed audiovisual production. Experience using program objectives and directing skills to direct the production activities of a small television production crew and cast. Experience maintaining video operations to include arranging backgrounds, select camera angles, lighting and capabilities/limitations of standard camera and audiovisual equipment. Experience using non-linear computer editing systems and associated software.
