Aston Carter Junior Accountant in Bethesda, Maryland

Junior Accountant

Responsibilities:

  • All balance sheet accounts

  • Review and approving AP invoice coding

  • Maintaining pre-paid schedules

  • Maintain accrual schedules

  • Job budget maintenance

  • Payroll accruals

  • Assist with Datawatch, Admiral and/or Red Coats month-end close

  • Financial reporting and Budgeting

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

  • 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in a service-oriented industry.

  • Strong experience with Month-end Close and Balance Sheet Reconciliations

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting

  • Experience working with a large ERP, Lawson would be preferred.

  • Strong Excel (V look ups, Pivot tables, formulas)
