POSITION SUMMARY

A core component of Marriott International’s ability to sustain its competitive advantage, brand integrity and market leadership is by maintaining a fresh and consistent product offering. This position will support this component in working to provide business practices that meet owner and franchisee requests for more open dialogue on the strategic direction, operation and performance of their investments; a critical step in partnering with our owners and franchisees to achieve growth, preference and profitability objectives.

The Manager, Product Integrity will have responsibility across brands in both the managed and franchise organization for communication, compliance tracking, reporting and documentation for Select and Full-Service hotels. This position will be responsible for providing support to Owners/Franchisees, Managed and Franchise executives around renovation tracking, brand detractors, underperforming hotels and contract expirations.

This position has responsibility for the overall execution of enhancing and supporting renovation compliance:

  • Conducting outreach to Managed and Franchise executives, owners and franchise management companies

  • Partnering with various teams including: Global Quality, Global Design, Managed and Franchise executives, Contract

Administration, Legal, Brand, Finance etc.

  • Reporting status by milestone monthly & forecast completion

  • Recognizing and reporting business issues and risk to Franchise executives and Product Integrity leaders

  • Identifying themes/trends

  • Performs other duties as business needs determines

  • Travel may be required

EXPECTED CONTRIBUTIONS

  • Continually enhance PIP and Renovation processes, technology and communication vehicles to create cross-discipline efficiencies and effectiveness

  • Conduct due diligence with variety of stakeholders including but not limited to Managed and Franchise executives, Asset

  • Management, GMs, Global Design, owners, and management companies to maintain critical renovation data

  • Develop and centrally maintain documentation of all exceptions and extensions granted

  • Lead webinars for familiarize hotels with Renovation and Revenue tools to assist properties, owners and management companies before, during and after a renovation

  • Partner with Global Design for Quality Assurance Renovation Audits compliance

  • Provide quarterly renovation QA audit reporting to demonstrate progress and opportunities for each region, account executives, and large accounts

  • Provide quarterly renovation and PIP reporting for transparency and create efficiencies in the current process

Account Alignment

  • Maintain renovation compliance data for all accounts in assigned scope, including the brand detractor process, contract expirations and renovation forecasting

  • Provide quarterly analysis and updates to key stakeholders and partners

  • Develop relationships with Managed and Franchise executives, owners and management companies as it relates to renovations

  • Conduct regular brand compliance, breach, and renovation reviews with Managed and Franchise executives and contribute to account specific meetings as it relates to renovations (i.e., dates, extensions, RP2, status, etc).

  • Provide tools and resources for Managed and Franchise executives as they meet with specific accounts

  • Proactively review renovation and PIPs due and overdue with Managed and Franchise executives for more accurate and effective forecasting information

Property Improvement Process

  • Lead the PIP process from request through completion to ensure alignment with Global Design Contract Admin, Fire Life Safety Legal, and Franchise executives prior to execution for assigned scope and segments

  • Initiate ongoing communication of impending completion dates to Owners; as well as; securing and documenting signed extensions

Scope/assigned segments

  • Provide status and metrics around brand health and driving base line to collect data

  • Provide quarterly updates to Managed and Franchise executives to highlight progress and opportunities

  • Responsible for setting the assigned brand renovation forecast, reviewing contract expirations and brand detractors and analyzing data

  • Provide insights and represent owners and management company voices around product design and décor.

  • Performs other duties as assigned in order to meet business needs

Education or Certification
