Details:

· Location: Bethesda, MD

· 100% On-site

· Monday-Friday

· 8am-5pm (flexible start time between 7am-9am)

· 6-month contract to hire

Necessary Skills

· 2+ years of Payroll processing experience.

· Experience handling a volume of 400+ employees for payroll.

· Previous experience working with garnishments.

· English/ Spanish Bilingual preferred.

· Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).

A day in the role…

· Process bi-weekly payroll for 2,000 employees.

· Full understanding of federal and state tax calculations.

· Prepare and submit manual payroll checks and direct deposits.

· Voiding and reversing issued checks.

· Collect banking information for direct deposit setup.

· Maintain and document all payroll records.

· Reconcile and prepare Union deduction payments.

· Reconcile and prepare Union deduction payments.

· Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues or concerns.

· Process Withholding Orders, Garnishments, Tax Levies in accordance with Federal and State laws for employees .
