Description

Robert Half Talent Solutions is representing a leading manufacturer that is seeking an experienced Logistics Manager to join a team based in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. The selected candidate will be an integral part of the logistics operations, with a focus on managing and coordinating shipments, optimizing shipping procedures, and maintaining strong relationships with shippers, carriers, and customers. This role is crucial in ensuring the prompt and proper movement of shipments by land, rail, and air, both domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and coordinate daily shipments with both shippers and carriers.

• Ensure prompt and proper movement of shipments via various modes of transportation, domestically and internationally.

• Handle shipping of hazardous materials in compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

• Optimize shipping and transport procedures to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

• Foster and maintain positive relationships with shippers, carriers, and customers.

• Utilize various tools and systems such as 3M, CRM, Eaton, ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning, ERP Solutions, About Time, and KPI Reporting to manage logistics operations.

• Oversee the manufacturing logistics processes to ensure smooth operations.

• Provide excellent customer service, resolving customer inquiries promptly and professionally.

• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary.

Requirements • Position requires a minimum of 7 years of experience in a logistics management role

• Proficiency in 3M, CRM, Eaton, and ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is necessary

• Familiarity with ERP Solutions and About Time software is expected

• Exceptional customer service skills and experience in a customer-facing role

• Proficient in KPI Reporting and able to analyze, interpret, and present data effectively

• In-depth knowledge of logistics and manufacturing processes

• Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred

• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team

• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure

• Outstanding organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
