Description

As a Workshop Instructor you will provide employment training and support to individuals with disabilities in a production environment. Overtime pay is available for afternoon transportation, but is not a requirement for this position. 

 

*Via is now offering an increased pay rate of $17-$18/hour determined by education level. *Additionally, earn up to $1.75 more per hour by completing all three levels of the National Alliance of Direct Support Professionals (NADSP) Career Ladder Program.

 

You will ENJOY the following when working at VIA:

  • Full-Time Monday through Friday schedule 8am-4pm as an Instructor. Weekends OFF!

Position Responsibilities Include:

  • Provide employment training and support to individuals with disabilities in a production environment.
  • Utilize job coaching strategies to instruct participants on proper work habits and help create work skills that will produce high levels of quality work.
  • In some cases, you have an opportunity to provide community-based services.

Position Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Valid Driver's license, personal vehicle and appropriate insurance is required.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and transfer participants is required.
