Located in Bethpage, St. Joseph Hospital that provides comprehensive inpatient and outpatient medical, critical care and surgical services. Its Emergency Department cares for approximately 33,000 patients a year. Other vital services include an Ambulatory Surgery Unit, The Center for Sleep Medicine, Hyperbaric and Wound Healing Center, CHS Cancer Center, The Center for Speech and Swallowing Disorders, Diabetes Education Center and a full scope of outpatient radiology services, including Cardiac CT. Job Details Responsibilities: Central Sterile Technicians work in our Central Supply in the Perioperative Department. The technicians must have knowledge of surgical instruments, decontamination and sterilization modalities required. Must be able to understand and speak English, must be able to prioritize and communicate effectively. Must be able to lift tray up to 25 pounds. Ability to be on your feet for a long period of time required. Computer literacy required. Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent required. CRCST certification required. 1 year experience in Central Sterile required; experience within an acute care facility strongly preferred. Must be computer-literate. Must be able to read and write basic English. Salary Range USD $26.04 - USD $26.04 /Hr. The salary range or rate listed does not include any differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
