News 12 is looking for a creative and driven Digital Producer to assist in the production of daily news content. The candidate will have a desire to grow their skills or learn about digital news production for all seven regions covered by News 12 Networks.
- Organize strong, compelling digital news copy.
- Attend all editorial meetings for your individual region.
- Write scripts for web stories.
- Identify and perform quick edits on videos to accompany digital stories.
- Outline a daily editorial plan based on coverage for your region.
- Send push alerts and update the website for developing and breaking news stories.
- Must always be ready to change course and assist with the latest news or developing stories.
- Must possess a strong collaborative spirit and understand the vision and creativity necessary to handle digital content.
- Coordinate with multiple different departments to meet deliverable deadlines and expectations.
- Publish content to various social media channels.
- Basic background/education in news and digital news publishing
- Excellent writing skills.
- Strong grammar, copy editing and communication skills
- Basic Photoshop and video editing familiarity are a plus
- Ability to learn new systems and software quickly
- Familiarity with SEO, Twitter, Facebook and other social media outlets
- Organizational skills and ability to work under tight deadlines

This position is identified as being performed in/or reporting to company operations in New York State. Salary ranges are supplied in compliance with New York State law. Pay is competitive and based on a number of job-related factors, including skills and experience. The starting pay rate/range at time of hire for this position in the posted location is $47,040.00-$77,280.00/year. The rate/range provided herein is the anticipated pay at the time of hire, and does not reflect future job opportunity.
