However, direction may be provided by the Vice | | President of Engineering, General Manager or Engineering, and/or | | Project Engineers. | | | |   | | | | QUALIFICATIONS: | | | | - Associates degree or completion of a technical trade school in | | CAD drafting or equivalent combination of education and | | experience is required. A degree in Engineering Technology is | | preferred | | - Requires a minimum of three years of design drafting experience | | in an engineering or manufacturing organization, preferably in | | the compressor or heavy machinery industry | | - Requires experience with current 2-D and solid modeling CAD | | software. Preferable experience utilizing Solid Edger | | - Working understanding of ANSI/ASME Y14 standards (e.g. Y14.100, | | Y14.5) | | - Knowledge and ability to operate a computer and enter, format, | | and present data using software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, | | Access, and customized in-house software | | - Strong mathematical ability in calculations with formulas and | | geometry (e.g. areas and volumes) | | - Ability to use measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers | | - Excellent time and priority management abilities required | | - Must possess the senses of sight and have excellent oral and | | written communication skills in English | | - Must possess the ability to coordinate a variety of routine | | projects and activities simultaneously without losing control, | | poise, or professionalism | | - Ability to complete engineering projects in a timely manner | | - Attention to detail is critical. Reciprocating compressors have | | the potential for causing serious injury or death.
