Job Order in Connection with H-2B Application:The Western Sugar Cooperative, dba Western Sugar Cooperative, headquartered at 7555 East Hampden Avenue, Suite 520, Denver, CO 80231, phone number: +1 303-907-3305, is looking to fill seventeen (17) General Laborers positions from 10/01/2024 to 02/28/2025. This is for full-time, Peak-load temporary employment. Duties include: As general laborers, workers will sweep, vacuum, and mop floors in hot, humid, dusty, and cold while keeping production areas clean and safe, scooping and moving debris from the work areas, equipment, and sugar wheelbarrows. Workers will assist in the remelt and reclaiming of sugar. Forklift-in-job training will be provided to workers so that they can occasionally perform duties with a forklift. Workers will use tools such as brooms, vacuums, rags, sponges, shovels, hoses, wheelbarrows, and buckets. Workers will Hole watch for confined space work/repairs. Assist station jobs when needed or other duties as instructed by the shift supervisor, end tech, or shift lead. Workers will clean the factory yard/exterior. Special requirements include: The workers must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, climb multiple flights of stairs, and stand/walk for most of the shift. They must also be able to work in hot, cold, dirty, dusty, and humid conditions. Workers must be willing to work rotating shifts, be safety conscious, and wear PPE. Workers must also be able to speak English.The pay rate is $23.02 per hour, and overtime is available at $34.53 per hour, based on the hourly rate. Forty hours per week from Sunday - Saturday. There are three rotating shifts: 8:00 AM—4:00 PM, 4:00 PM—12:00 AM, and 12:00 AM—8:00 AM. Workers work on one of those shifts for one week and then move to the next schedule. Workers have 48 hours off in-between, and workers get a 4-day weekend once a month. The job opportunity is a temporary, full-time position. Daily travel to worksites in the area of intended employment is required. The requested temporary workers will be based at 3020 State Ave, Billings, MT 59101, and will service clients within the Billings, MT BLS/MSA, including the county of Yellowstone. A single workweek will be used in computing wages due. The pay period is bi-weekly. The employer will make all deductions from the worker's paycheck as required by law. Employer-arranged housing and transportation to and from worksites is available with a bi-weekly payroll deduction of $401.60. The offered housing is optional to workers. Transportation, including meals and, to the extent necessary, lodging, to the place of employment will be provided, or its cost to workers will be reimbursed by a company check, separate from the payroll check, if the worker completes half of the employment period. If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, employer will arrange and pay directly for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, employer will provide or pay for worker's reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back to home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economically and reasonably common carrier for the distance involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of $15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts. Reimbursement in the first work week for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government, incurred by the H-2B worker (but not included passport expenses or other charges primarily for the benefit of the worker). The employer will provide workers, at no charge, all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job and on-the-job training in the proper use of tools and equipment.
