Interstate Power System's Billings Montana location is looking for an Outside Sales Representative. Outside Sales Representatives fulfill a critical role in our operations. They are responsible for sales of product and services for our diverse business that support over the road truck markets, equipment sales and rental, generator repair and service contracts, Industrial welding, repair, and fabrication. This sales position supports Industries that include trucking, mining, oil and gas, refining, and power generation markets. They solicit new business and maintain accounts through face-to-face and phone contacts, developing networks and industry contacts, promoting our value-added products and services, and keeping customer satisfaction a priority.

Outside Sales Representative Job Duties

• The duties of this position will be to actively promote parts and service sales of our Industrial services, and Over the Road truck service and support in the assigned territory.
• Actively identify and develop new customer contacts to expand market share and sales of all products, services, and service contracts.
• Assist customers in solving problems and provide technical support.
• Act as a liaison between the customer and company as needed to ensure that the customer needs are adequately met.

Outside Sales Representative Desired Skills and Qualities

• Exceptional interpersonal, leadership and communication skills
• Knowledgeable and or experience in over the road truck, equipment rental and sales and Industrial service repair in mining, oil and gas, and power generation markets.
• A self-starter who can identify the strengths present in a location and utilize those strengths to develop a positive business plan.
• Proven background in sales
• Clear driving record
• Available for overnight travel

Outside Sales Representative Requirements

• High school degree or equivalent required
• 3+ years recent/relevant experience with outside sales
• Experience in, industrial services for mining, power generation and processing and over the road parts and service
