Insitu Senior Engine Technician - Onsite in Bingen, Washington

Engine Technician needed for a direct hire position, onsite in Bingen, WA. This role will be supporting Insitu Engine build and repair team. This roles responsibilities will include (not be limited to): Performs all modular assembly, repair and troubleshooting tasks with regards to propulsion module units (engines) Plans, assigns, and validates work of others. Performs pilot build of new products and documents procedural requirements for manufacturing operations. Analyzes and diagnoses faults in the operational configurations of electronic systems and equipment. Interprets electronic circuits, wiring/cable diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications and schematics of complete systems and equipment and performs troubleshooting. Tests and evaluates aircraft systems, and secondary test and support equipment. Assists in defining test parameter and analyzing test results. Coordinates the availability of equipment and facilities to support production operations. Uses and maintains hand and power tools, as well as test equipment. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures. Develop prototype modules or equipment. Reviews and completes quality or validation documentation in accordance with a quality plan. Typical Education and Experience: 6+ years of related experience. High School Diploma or equivalent education is required. Required qualifications: Previous experience with 2 or 4 stroke engines required, diesel engine experience a plus. Ability to read, understand and interpret engineering drawings and specifications (e.g., blueprint/schematic reading, specification, change, design). Knowledge of assembly and production processes, manufacturing capabilities and data needed for defining delivery configurations. Ability to differentiate production processes and requirements from in-service procedures and requirements. Knowledge of parts, materials and processes related to electrical, electronic, electro-mechanical and electro-optical components. Knowledge of electrical/electronic, general purpose and precision measuring test equipment and associated calibration requirements. Complete knowledge of shop processes to include Foreign Object Damage/Debris (FOD) prevention, material handling, safety, calibration requirements and Electrostatic Discharge (ESD). Preferred qualifications: Previous experience with unmanned aircraft engines a plus. Knowledge of air vehicle maintenance processes, policies, culture, and standard practices (e.g., return to service, normal duties/responsibilities, time constraints, available resources) to effectively represent the operator within the company. Maintenance and Retrofit Knowledge of repair, maintenance, and retrofit processes and practices (e.g., unplanned event system, technical orders, kitting, overhaul and depot support). Knowledge of product maintenance processes, tools, troubleshooting techniques and standards. Knowledge of quality systems (e.g., inspection process, company quality procedures). Knowledge of repair concepts including repair station processes, component repair concepts, composites, procedures, and warranty processes and contractual agreements. Knowledge of painting, surface preparation, sealing, soldering, printed circuit board cleaning and conformal coating.
