Insitu UAS Integration Technician - Onsite in Bingen, Washington

Insitu has an immediate need for a UAS Integration Technician to support our Flight Integration Team (FIT). This person will maintain a high level of understanding of the family of Insitu hardware and software gear. You will have to maintain qualifications to operate and maintain both the ScanEagle and Integrator platforms. Work will be performed independently on site surveys land and maritime establishing setup locations and possible hazards for flight operations. Work as lead for A / B kit in maritime requirements with Ship Operations Verification Testing. Role responsibilities will include: Lead land site install and activations with customer and contract requirements. Identifies the required needs for a customer installs, works with engineering, and liaisons with the program to maintain contractual obligations. Instructor qualified to help training team with student overload when able. Ability to provide technical insight to support OAC needs. Completely understands and applies job practices, techniques, standards, principles, theories, and concepts. Possesses general knowledge of other related disciplines. Provide technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems. Develop solutions that are imaginative, thorough, practicable, and consistent with organization objectives. Independently determines and develops approaches to solutions. Receives general direction for work that is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives. Contributes to the completion of specific programs and projects. Failure to obtain results, reaching erroneous decisions or making recommendations would typically result in serious program delays and considerable expenditure of resources. Interacts frequently with inter-organizational personnel and external customers. Represents the organization by providing solutions to difficult technical issues associated with specific projects. Education & Experience Required: Associate degree in related discipline and typically 3 or more years of related experience; or a comparable combination of education and experience. Ability to apply complete knowledge and understanding of air vehicle systems and operations. Unmanned Air Vehicle Systems (UAS) Knowledge. Comprehends the specific contract requirements and the technical aspects of the fielded products or services needed to support and/or service customer requirements. Must be able to work 100% onsite in Bingen, WA. Preferred Experience: Knowledge of customer on-site support requirements (e.g., engineering, maintenance, models, business culture). Knowledge of the processes and activities that provide direct support and services to customers in a field environment. Applies necessary knowledge to define the communication system, the involved customer liaison activities, and technical support and service needs. Knowledge of electrical/electronic, general purpose and precision measuring test equipment and associated calibration requirements. Knowledge of Ground Support Equipment requirements and air vehicle maintenance in job specific areas, and general knowledge of all areas. Knowledge of Unmanned Air Vehicle Systems (UAS) to include air vehicle, ground segments (e.g., ground stations and mission plans) and supportability.
