Robert Half Customer Service Representative in Binghamton, New York

Description We are on the lookout for a detail-oriented Credit Clerk in the Real Estate & Property industry. The position is based in Binghamton, New York, and requires a focus on providing exceptional customer service. The role involves managing customer credit applications, maintaining accurate credit records, and handling customer inquiries. This contract position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic and growing environment.

Responsibilities:

• Handle the accurate and efficient processing of customer credit applications.

• Keep customer credit records up to date.

• Resolve customer credit inquiries in a timely and professional manner.

• Monitor customer credit accounts to ensure they remain in good standing.

• Take appropriate action to collect delinquent payments when necessary.

• Communicate with contractors to assign work orders when required.

• Respond to customer complaints professionally, using issue resolution and de-escalation techniques.

• Provide accurate information about our products, services, and features to customers to enhance customer satisfaction.

• Process orders, requests for quotations, and assign tickets using designated software.

• Recommend alternative products based on cost, availability, or specifications.

• Monitor scheduled shipment dates to ensure timely delivery and expedite as needed.

• Maintain a clean, professional, and safe work environment conducive to teamwork. Requirements • Prior experience in a customer service role within the Real Estate & Property industry is preferred

• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

• Ability to work effectively in a team and independently

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions independently

• Proficiency in using property management software and Microsoft Office Suite

• Knowledge of real estate industry practices and regulations

• Proven track record of providing exceptional customer service

• Excellent organizational and time management skills

• Demonstrated ability to handle difficult customer situations with tact and diplomacy

• High school diploma or equivalent is required, a bachelor’s degree is preferred

• Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status.
