Job Title: TIG Welder
Job Description
Aerotek is actively looking to hire a TIG welder to join a growing manufacturing team near Binghamton, NY! This welder will perform MIG, TIG, and/or Arc welding techniques during the assembly process of diversified metal assemblies according to customer drawing specifications and work order instructions.
Responsibilities
Perform MIG, TIG, and/or Arc welding techniques for fabrications.
Ensure weld operations are performed according to established specifications (production work orders and drawings).
Perform quality and self-inspection using drawings, fixtures, jigs, and/or measuring tools.
Meet pre-established objectives as part of a team or independently with limited to no supervision.
Ensure safety while handling parts and operating equipment to avoid damage to oneself, others, or production.
Actively participate in new product introductions and suggest new approaches and techniques for continued improvement in production and quality.
Participate in the upkeep and cleanliness of the workplace and general area.
Perform routine welding machine maintenance as stipulated in the maintenance procedure manuals.
Maintain a safe workplace free of dangerous obstacles.
Essential Skills
3+ years' experience in MIG/TIG welding.
Experience in welding heavy steel and stainless steel.
Experience with new build welds and repair welds.
Blueprint reading and interpretation.
Proficiency in TIG, Flux core, and Stainless steel welding.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
High school diploma or GED.
Manual dexterity.
Troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to adapt easily to various changes in situations.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00
