Job Title: TIG Welder

Job Description

Aerotek is actively looking to hire a TIG welder to join a growing manufacturing team near Binghamton, NY! This welder will perform MIG, TIG, and/or Arc welding techniques during the assembly process of diversified metal assemblies according to customer drawing specifications and work order instructions.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG, TIG, and/or Arc welding techniques for fabrications.

• Ensure weld operations are performed according to established specifications (production work orders and drawings).

• Perform quality and self-inspection using drawings, fixtures, jigs, and/or measuring tools.

• Meet pre-established objectives as part of a team or independently with limited to no supervision.

• Ensure safety while handling parts and operating equipment to avoid damage to oneself, others, or production.

• Actively participate in new product introductions and suggest new approaches and techniques for continued improvement in production and quality.

• Participate in the upkeep and cleanliness of the workplace and general area.

• Perform routine welding machine maintenance as stipulated in the maintenance procedure manuals.

• Maintain a safe workplace free of dangerous obstacles.

Essential Skills

• 3+ years' experience in MIG/TIG welding.

• Experience in welding heavy steel and stainless steel.

• Experience with new build welds and repair welds.

• Blueprint reading and interpretation.

• Proficiency in TIG, Flux core, and Stainless steel welding.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.

• Manual dexterity.

• Troubleshooting skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Ability to adapt easily to various changes in situations.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00
