About the Role
To troubleshoot systems and perform preventive and predictive maintenance on various equipment, while always keeping safety as a priority. Will also provide support for production and carry out the assignments and responsibilities given to them by the cradles department maintenance supervisors and team leaders. Responsible for supporting safety, quality, and productivity while adhering to KAMTEK’s plant standards and upholding the Magna Employee’s Charter.Also, maintain, troubleshoot, and provide continuous improvement suggestions resulting in minimal downtime of manufacturing equipment in the assembly area. Support installation and modification of equipment to ensure quality control requirements are met and process enhancements are realized.
Your Responsibilities
Follow and comply with all plant safety standards including LOTO
Troubleshooting, diagnosis and repair of various manufacturing equipment, including robots, PLC, controls, electrical, etc.
Teach and modify robots to correct pick and place issue and or to correct mig weld issues that have been identified by quality, engineering or leadership.
Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing processes
Effective communication with team members and other departments
Maintain integrity of safety devices including light curtains, safety gates, barriers, etc.
Assist in design and installation of new/improved manufacturing equipment, components, and processes
Make modifications to existing equipment as required
Assist in determining spare parts requirements
Help minimize downtime by responding timely to andon or radio calls.
Train operators and new team members on fixtures, control panels, etc.
Who we are looking for
-Must have good mathematical and communication
-Ability to read and understand schematics
-Ability to use testing and troubleshooting equipment
-Must have a good understanding of rigging, cranes, etc.
-Must have a general knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics
-Must be able to pay good attention to detail
-Must have a basic knowledge of robots
-Must be able to work extended hours as needed to meet customer requirements
-Must have basic knowledge or Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
-Must have general knowledge on electrical theory and troubleshooting
-Must have general mechanical knowledge
Your preferred qualifications
Education
High School Diploma or GED required; 2-year degree from a technical college or minimum of three years on-the-job training with heavy industrial manufacturing facility in skilled trade capacity.
Technical Training
Journeyman Certification preferred. General knowledge of industrial maintenance with an emphasis on electrical, mechanical, robotics, or controls application
Experience
Maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. Minimum of 4 years experience.
