We are offering an opportunity for a Medical Accounts Receivable Analyst to join our team in Birmingham, Alabama. The role involves managing the revenue cycle, collections, insurance follow-ups, and claims processing for a diverse range of accounts. This position offers a chance to contribute to our team's efficiency and success in a healthcare setting. This Medical AR Analyst position is a long-term contract position and offers remote work flexibility.

Responsibilities:

• Manage revenue cycle processes to ensure timely billing and collection of payments

• Handle collections, liaising with customers to facilitate payment of outstanding balances

• Follow-up on insurance claims, working closely with insurance providers to resolve any issues

• Process around 35-45 accounts per day, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all transactions

• Assist in the clean-up of backlog accounts, implementing strategies for improved management

• Utilize accounting software systems and Microsoft Office Suites to manage and track account activity

• Apply knowledge of accounting functions to manage all aspects of accounts receivable

• Handle medical collections, ensuring compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations

• Follow up on insurance collections, liaising with insurance providers to expedite payment processes

• Manage claims processing, ensuring all claims are submitted and processed accurately.

Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suites

• Knowledge of Accounting Functions

• Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Experience in Medical Collections

• Ability to handle Insurance Collections

• Proficiency in Insurance Follow-up

• Experience in Claims Processing

• Familiarity with Revenue Cycle Processes
